Easy Iced Instant Coffee Latte is a simple recipe for a sweet, creamy, homemade blended iced coffee drink.

About this drink…
The perfect easy and quick, cool solution to a hot summer’s day or night!
Have it in place of your hot morning coffee while you relax in front of the TV on the weekend, or sip it while sitting on your porch watching the sunset.
With only 3 ingredients—including instant coffee and frozen milk—and a blender, you can prepare the drink in minutes.
Use regular instant for a little caffeine kick or use decaf to avoid the caffeine but keep the flavor.
And by using frozen milk instead of ice, you get a rich, creamy texture that doesn’t get watered down!
Plus, it’s budget-friendly—so don’t waste your time and money standing in line to pay a fortune at an expensive coffee shop when you can make this at home for pennies!
And if you want to add something extra, top it with whipped cream!
A little about lattes:
The term “latte” is a short way of saying “caffè latte” or “coffee and milk.”
“Caffè latte” is Italian, and if you order “a latte” in Italy, chances are you won’t get a coffee but rather a glass of milk.
In French, the term is “café au lait,” and in Spanish, “cafe con leche.”
All of the above sound so much more romantic than just coffee with milk, don’t they?
Actually, it should be milk and coffee since it’s coffee made with a milk base instead of a water base with a little milk. But whatever.
Even though Europeans have been mixing coffee into their milk since at least the 1600s, nowadays, when one orders a latte, they mean a contemporary coffee drink often made with hot milk and espresso.
This recipe, though, has a frozen milk base and instant coffee, and while it may not be fashionable or stylish, it’s deliciously cool and refreshing!
And coffee can actually be good for you!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Easy Iced Instant Coffee Latte
1. Why does this recipe use frozen milk instead of ice cubes?
Ice cubes melt and dilute the coffee, leading to a watery drink. By using frozen milk, you maintain the richness of the latte from the first sip to the last. The frozen milk acts as both the “ice” and the creamy base, keeping the flavor bold and consistent.
2. Can I customize this basic latte?
Absolutely. This recipe serves as a perfect “blank canvas.” You can easily add flavor variations like a pinch of cinnamon, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, or a dash of almond extract to create your own signature iced coffee at home.
3. Does the choice of instant coffee affect the final drink?
Since instant coffee is the primary flavor driver here, you want to choose your favorite. If you prefer a stronger kick, you can increase the amount of coffee to 1.5 or 2 teaspoons.
4. Is this drink suitable for a quick breakfast?
Yes, it is a convenient, energy-boosting option for busy mornings. Since it takes only a few minutes to assemble and blend, it is a perfect alternative to waiting in line at a coffee shop.

Easy Iced Instant Coffee Latte Recipe

Delicious and easy instant coffee blended with frozen milk and sugar.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces of milk, frozen + another 2 more ounces chilled from the fridge
- 1 teaspoons instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar or to taste
Instructions
- Place the frozen milk, coffee, and sugar in a blender
- Blend until all of the milk is slush.
- If the iced latte is too thick for your taste, add the chilled milk—a very little at a time—until you reach your desired consistency.*
Notes
* Sometimes, the frozen milk will be dry and gather at the sides of the blender (unless you let it defrost a little first).. Adding a little extra milk will take care of that. Be careful to add only a very little at a time, otherwise you will lose the iciness of the drink.
