Easy Individual Kosher Puff Pastry Deli Rolls are the single-serving version of the classic, iconic New York deli roll.
Like the long roll made of deli meats and condiments wrapped inside dairy-free pastry dough and baked to a golden flakiness, these are cut to the perfect individual size.
They take only minutes to assemble and are perfect for picnics, events, and potluck dinners since everyone gets their own roll instead of sharing from a main dish.
Make them with a plain top or brush with an egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds!

Some cooking terms
What does it mean when recipes say “to taste” about an ingredient?
When recipes say “to taste,” it means that you can put in as little or as much as you like to your own taste. Some recipes have many ingredients that a cook can adjust to their own taste when cooking (not so much when baking though).
The best way to calculate what your taste is with a recipe that you are not yet familiar with is to first taste the dish and then add the “to taste” ingredient GRADUALLY, a little at a time—a splash of this or a pinch of that—until the dish is just the way you like it.
Make sure to stir the ingredient after each time you add it so that the flavor will distribute evenly and become part of the dish. Then taste again. Repeat until you reach your personal preference.
Note: If you plan on using the recipe again, it is highly recommended to make a note of what and how much you added so that you can refer to it next time.
What does it mean when a recipe says that an ingredient is “optional”?
If an ingredient is “optional,” it means that you can add it in or not based on your own preference. An optional ingredient can be flavor-related (i.e., salty, sweet, spicy, etc.), appearance-related (garnish), or even something like nuts or chocolate chips in baking.
What does “savory” mean?
“Savory” refers to foods that are not sweet, such as foods that taste salty, spicy, or herbal.
What is needed to make Individual Kosher Puff Pastry Deli Rolls?
I hardly ever meal plan, so I like to keep a cupboard full of seasonings, spices, veggies, and canned goods in my kitchen to use whenever the mood strikes.
But these are all you need to have on hand to make this recipe even last minute!

Easy Individual Kosher Puff Pastry Deli Rolls

Easy and delicious single serving deli rolls with deli meat slices and condiments in a flakey puff pastry dough.
Ingredients
- Package of raw puff pastry dough
- deli meat slices (turkey and/or salami and/or bologna and/or pastrami, etc.)
- condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, duck sauce, etc.), optional
- 1 egg, beaten (if you want to brown the top)
- sesame seeds for garnish, if desired
Instructions
- Roll out puff pastry dough to approximately 1/8" thick.*
- Spread whichever condiments you are using over the side of the dough that is facing upward.**
- Place the slices of deli meat side by side or in overlapping layers.
- Tightly roll the dough with the meat from the longer side of the dough.
- Slice the roll into the desired lengths of the rolls.
- Make thin slits in the tops for better baking and easier cutting.
- Coat the rolls on the top and sides with the beaten egg if you want them to brown.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds, as desired.
- Place baking/parchment paper on a baking sheet or baking pan and lay the roll on top.
- Place in an oven that has been preheated to 350°F and bake for around 40 minutes or until the rolls have turned a golden brown.
- Let cool.
Notes
* The length of the dough should be according to how long you want the rolls to be and how many rolls you want (I made my roll as long as the diameter of a slice of deli meat). For example, if your deli slices are 4" in diameter and you want 4 rolls, then your dough should be 14 inches long. The width should be around an inch longer on the top and bottom of the deli meat that you have laid out (ie if the layers of deli meat take up 12 inches, then the width of the dough should be around 14").
**Condiments are optional.
